Use the Coriolis
Can I use the Coriolis® µ in class A and B rooms?
As far as the Coriolis µ can be totally decontaminated and as the consumables are sterile and single use, the equipment can be used in Class A and B rooms.
Moreover proof has been made that the Coriolis does not pollute the environment it controls.
What is the advantage of the Coriolis µ VS impaction method?
Even if the impaction method has been used for a long time, this technology has several limits : the air flow rate, the collection time, the time-to-results... the technology Coriolis gets rid of these limits thanks to the liquid sample output.
This new technology shows equivalent or better results in terms of microorganisms collection and goes beyond the cultivable flora and traditional microbiological techniques on agar plates.
May I use more or less than 15 ml of collection liquid?
The optimal condition of use of the Coriolis µ has been defined with 15ml of collection liquid : it is indeed the volume that allows to form a real vortex inside the cone and that gives the best recuperation rates.
More collection liquid could be dangerous for the equipment (electrical components) and less would not give optimal results.
What type of collection liquid may I use?
Bertin Technologies has developed a specific collection liquid that avoids microorganisms stress and microorganisms growth during collection.
This collection liquid can be adapted according to the searched particules and according to the analysis implemented after collection.
Can I use the Coriolis µ on battery ?
The Coriolis µ functions on main power supply or with battery : each equipment is delivered with 1 battery and 1 charger. The battery life is around 5 to 10 collection runs of 10 minutes (according to the air flow rate parameter).
Can I program the Coriolis µ to collect when I am not in the controlled room ?
The Coriolis µ parameters are air flow rate, time and delay : you can thus program the Coriolis µ and the run will begin up to 1h30 after you push start; it allows you to leave the controlled room and to be sure your presence does not impact the air quality
